Regional MTB Sales Representative

The Regional Sales Representative will meet category objectives and sales revenue targets by driving brand awareness at the dealer level, providing support to the dealer in their region, and event marketing outreach within the assigned territory. This is an employee sales and ambassador role focusing solely on Leatt® products. A company vehicle with travel funds will be provided along with a compensation plan composed of salary, commission and bonus opportunities, reporting to Leatt®’s MTB Sales Manager.

 

Open Regions: 

Pacific Northwest - Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska: The ideal candidate would live near a large metropolitan area on the I-5 corridor, central to the region in Oregon or Washington. (Seattle to Portland)

 

Northern California & Northern Nevada- The ideal candidate would live near a large metropolitan area near the Bay Area or Sacramento.

 

Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico - The ideal candidate would live near a large metropolitan area on the I-25 corridor between Fort Collins and Colorado Springs.

 

 

Essential Duties of this Role: 

 

· Focused sales of Leatt products to a growing base of bicycle dealers.

· Become an expert in the features and benefits of Leatt products and successfully communicate the unique qualities of the products Leatt offers.

· Must be able to create a value-added-partner relationship with the territory’s account base.

· Maintain an ongoing call schedule, travel schedule, and event schedule.

· Must have the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

· A pleasant positive personality, professional manner, and great communication skills along with the ability to prioritize tasks and work from remote locations are essential.

· Travel away from home is extensive, especially during selling and customer education periods, it will average about 2 weeks a month, but it is not consistent each month.

 

o Mandatory attendance at local and national events “including but not limited to” the Sea Otter Classic and CABDA.

 

· Merchandising – how to display products to attract a buyer.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Goal oriented. Must possess the undeniable drive to achieve, and exceed assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.

· 1-2 years’ sales experience within the Bicycle industry with a specific understanding and knowledge of the bicycle apparel and protection market, competing protection brands, channels, and culture.

· This is a great role for an experienced bicycle parts and accessories buyer or shop manager to make the next step in their career.

· Excellent research, prospecting, and business development skills.

· Strong computer skills (Microsoft applications, etc.) and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and order management systems.

· Must live within the territory. The ideal candidate would live near a large metropolitan area, central to the region.

· Moderate (50%+) travel (outside sales) within the territory (50%) in office (sales prospecting/admin/planning).

· Must be available during standard business hours & occasional off-hours including occasional nights and weekends

· Clean driving record.

· Exemplifies the company culture and brand message.
